Additional Specialties: 1) Mainly working with coral geochemical records for paleoceanographic applications in the tropical oceans. 2) Working with laminated sediments in deep marine basins interested in high-resolution climatic reconstruction of the last 2K of NW Mexico and oceanic ventilation in the Eastern Tropical North Pacific off Mexico 3)Also doing research on the response of coral reef ecosystems to global and environmental change, particularly on acidification and eutrophication threats on coral reef development and the risk of a reef phase-shift under the new environmental scenarios.
